Purushottama yoga is considered to be essence or culmination of Gita.It is advised to read this chapter before one eats the meal. From chapter 13 to 18th chapter Bhagavan explains Jnana as sadhana or knowledge itself as means and goal. the next thing Bhagavan Krishna explains the importance of "Sadgunas" values virtues required to stay put in the path of Jnana marg. Brahmananda valli in titreya upanishad explains this chapter very well. Purushottama yoga poses and answers questions like What is absolute? waht is Brahman? Where and how does one gets Brahman? What is the need of Brahman? Satyam Jnanma and aanandam is Brahman One can get Brahman in one's self All desires of all beings can be felt at one time. Liberaton from samsara is Moksha. What is Samsara? the variety of problems one face is Samsara. How can one get rid of Samsara problems "Samsara dosha darshana" seeing the problems from a different perspective helps get rid of problems. This samsaara is like the Ashvatta vriksh with out a begining and an end. I f there is a root to it nd if samsara exists there is some one who is making sure of Dharma is followed. The karama kand of the vedas are like leaves of the samsara tree. Desires are like leaves-> and of desires Karma comes-> karma Phala -> papa and punya -> birth and death and bodies take form-> ... like a tree is resting place for many birds so is the samsara tree a host for so many beings. as the breeze makes the tree move so are desires move the samsara tree. 3/15/2012
